Small Business Saturday - How To Support A Small Business This Weekend

It’s that time of the year again and I have a favor to ask - please resist shopping Black Friday, and Cyber Monday sales. These tactics are harmful to small businesses and hurt folks from your own community by diverting much needed monies to huge companies whose sole aim is to crush small businesses.

The majority of small businesses are not able to compete with big “Box Stores” and the likes of Amazon this weekend. Instead please take a moment to shop on Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is a grassroots movement which acknowledges, recognizes and highlights local small businesses. You can support someone from your own community by making your holiday purchases from a local small store.

At Sarah Bertochi - Handmade, we keep our prices as low as we can all year - we aim to keep our products affordable to you and of course still make a profit. As a small business owner, I struggle with being heard - there is way too much noise about huge discounts and free shipping. Shoppers have been essentially “trained” to expect these sort of promotions and then question (or completely disregard) those businesses which are not able to compete.

I understand how challenging times are for everyone - I strive daily to offer a product which is unique as well as a good value. Keeping that balance is HARD so running any kind of sale is asking a lot. That said, I am blessed to have this little business and so grateful for your support, I want to offer you something as a way of saying “Thank You”

This weekend only, I am offering the following incentives -

Spend over $100 save 20% - Use code SBS20 at checkout
