PRODUCT INFO

  • All printed designs are original "Sarah B." creations and begin as hand drawn sketches. These sketches are fine tuned digitally and then transferred to either a linoleum block or screen for final rendering. Designs are block printed or screen printed using water based textile inks.

    Hand dyed items are dyed with all natural mineral dyes or indigo dye. It is normal for some dye to run in the first few washings. Hand wash separately in cold water.

    Products are printed and dyed by hand in our Marlboro, MA studio. Most products are also hand cut and sewn in our studio, with some work occasionally sewn by a manufacturing partner.

    Due to the handmade process, each product may vary slightly from one another or from the product photographs. Certain ink colors are mixed by hand and may vary slightly if purchased at different times. Dye colors will also vary but we do our best to maintain a consistent color offering. These subtle differences are not defects, simply the unique signs of a lovingly crafted handmade item

    Please keep in mind also that small colors shifts can happen depending on the monitor you are using to view the item.

  • Waxed canvas is water resistant (not water proof) and has a smooth surface which will develop it's own patina and age over time - similar to leather. It is normal for the fabric texture to show with creases and folds, these are characteristic of the fabric and enhance the overall look of the bag.

    All Hand Bags, Travel & Zipper Pouches - Spot clean only

    -Shake or brush off dirt, sand or any other abrasive material
    -For small spots, use cold water and mild soap
    -Wipe clean with a damp cloth and blot/dab gently (do not rub)
    -Let the bag air dry
    -Never dry clean, machine wash or use hot water

    Bandanas & Bucket Hats -

    -Hand wash in cold water with a phosphate-free detergent
    -Machine dry using low temperature or permanent press setting
    -Remove promptly to avoid excess wrinkles
    -To iron use standard setting with printed side down for best results
    -No steam

    Napkins & Placemats -

    -Machine wash warm or cool on gentle/delicate cycle
    -Use phosphate-free detergent
    -Machine dry using low temperature or permanent press setting
    -Remove promptly to avoid wrinkles
    -To iron use standard setting with printed side down for best results

    LAVENDER EYE PILLOWS:

    Our lavender eye pillows are stuffed with a blend of French lavender, flax seed and rice for weight. Spot clean only.

 

SHIPPING/RETURN INFO

 
  • -If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item with us in its original unused condition within 10 days of receipt and we will refund your payment less a 10% restocking fee. The original delivery charge is not refundable.

    Sarah Bertochi - Handmade does not offer exchanges for any order.

    Please send us an email at sarah@sarahbertochi.com notifying us of your intent to process a return.

    -Returned items should be unused and unworn (if applicable) and must be returned in the original packaging with any enclosed documentation.

    Please note:
    -The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. Therefore for your own protection we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods.
    -The cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility.
    -Please allow 1-2 weeks for your refund to be processed.

    -The following are FINAL SALE - All "SALE" or discounted items, gift cards, workshops, fabric masks, curated gift boxes/sets and custom requests/specials.

  • Product failures are rare however do occasionally happen. Once a product leaves our hands it is impossible to determine responsibility regarding how or why a particular item has failed.

    We will do what we can to make things right and will work with you to initiate a repair. If your item has failed within the first three months of your purchase date, please send us an email at sarah@sarahbertochi.com to start the repair process.

    You are responsible for shipping the item to us. Once received, we will examine your item and repair it if possible. The repair labor and any required new materials are free unless by our determination the failure is the result of misuse. Your item will be shipped back to you at no charge.

  • Orders are packaged/shipped within 3-5 business days from our studio unless noted in the product description. All items ship via the least expensive carrier option offered by either USPS or UPS.

    If you select Standard Shipping your item is not insured. If you select, Priority Mail, your item receives automatic insurance. The amount of insurance varies based upon the carrier. If this is important to you, please reach out prior to placing your order to confirm actual coverage amount.

    If your package is not delivered and goes missing, please contact your local USPS or UPS office to track down your package or to fill out a claim. Unfortunately, once your package leaves our possession and is accepted by the carrier, we cannot be held responsible for missing packages.

    Business Days are defined as weekdays, Monday-Friday 9am – 4pm Eastern Standard Time, excluding US holidays. The day your order ships, Saturdays, Sundays, or national holidays, do NOT count as a "shipping day".

  • Items shipped via Standard Shipping (First Class Mail) usually arrive within 5-7 business days to most U.S. destinations. Tracking information is not available with this option.

    Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express upgrade options are also available during checkout, and generally arrive within 1-3 business days of shipment. Tracking information will be emailed to you once the order has shipped.

    Please note:
    International shipping costs are based on the weight and size of the package and the shipping destination. International orders do not include delivery confirmation or tracking. The average transit time for International delivery is around 3-4 weeks, however shipping times vary depending on the shipping destination, proximity to major holidays, and the local postal service.

    International shipments are sometimes held at a local post office for pickup, so please consider checking with your local post office if your order is slow to arrive... sometimes they forget to contact you.

    Depending on your country, additional customs charges, fees or taxes may be due upon receipt of your package. Please note that any additional charges are the responsibility of the recipient.

 
 

SHOP POLICIES

 
  • -Workshop/class purchases are final due to upfront costs required to secure studio space as well as all necessary supplies. In the event a workshop has to be rescheduled due to inclement weather you will be notified via email. If you are unable to attend class on the new date, you will be issued a store credit which can be used toward another workshop or store product. Store credits expires one year from date of issue.

    -As a workshop participant you agree and understand there may be a potential risk of injury depending on the workshop being taught. Registration is confirmation to hold harmless Sarah Bertochi - Handmade and all representatives should the participant be injured during the workshop.

    -If you purchased your workshop/class on CourseHorse, then our Return policy applies to your purchase. If you are entitled to a refund, or have any questions, please visit the CourseHorse site and contact their customer service team.

  • Gift cards (E-Gift cards) are sold as unique digital codes. Sarah Bertochi - Handmade does not ship physical gift cards. E-Gift cards may be applied to full price as well as sale items.

    E-Gift cards expire one year from date of issue (including partially redeemed cards with an open balance) and are final sale. E-Gift cards have no cash value.

    *Promotional E-Gift Cards* We will on occasion offer free gift cards as part of our marketing efforts. In addition to the aforementioned terms, promotional E-Gift cards have a minimum purchase requirement and can not be combined with another discount, see specific offer for details.

  • -Sarah B. is committed to protecting the privacy of our site's visitors and customers. Therefore we will not disclose information about our customers to any third parties except where it is part of providing a service to you.
