Why This Shop Might Be Closed The Week Before Mother’s Day

As many of you know, I’m a one-woman show. From unpacking boxes to designing our window displays, from managing social media to greeting you when you walk thru the door—every part of this space has my heart (and hands) in it.

That also means I wear ALL the hats - Every - Single - Day.

Long hours, no true days off, and taking a vacation is a distant dream. Owning a shop is incredibly fulfilling, but it’s not without its struggles. It is especially challenging when big life moments come along.

My son is getting married in early May! It’s a milestone I wouldn’t miss for the world and I want to be fully present.

But here’s the hard truth—there’s no team of employees to keep things running while I’m away. So I’ll likely be closing the shop for about a week right before Mother’s Day.

Timing-wise, it’s not ideal as Mother’s Day one of the biggest shopping times of the year especially for gifts that are truly meaningful. But family is everything, and this is one of those moments I will be “shutting off” my shop brain and will be fully focused on being the Mother of the Groom.
