News - Workshops for 2020
Teaching is not a big part of my art practice but it is something I purposely build in time for every year. Workshops give me the opportunity to reconnect with my core audience in ways that are not possible thru markets/shows. This connection is important for my own person growth as well as for my business. I often will get invaluable feedback about my current range of bags and also helpful suggestions on new products.
For 2020 I will be teaching a variety of introductory classes on the basics of block printing. Classes are typically 2 -3 hours. Students will learn all the skills needed to create and enjoy making their own - Greeting Cards, Notebooks, Kitchen Towels, Napkins or Tote Bag.
Participants will create their own design (or use one that is provided) carve the block, and print using water based inks. No experience in art or printmaking is necessary! Workshops are great for those who have never tried printmaking and want to learn a new craft.
I’ll be adding workshops to this page throughout the year. Check back often for the most current schedule and registration links.
