Happy New Year! Thank you to all who have helped support my dream to pursue my creative passions as an artist. It seems odd to refer to myself as an "artist" and not a "salesperson" - a new mindset which actually feels very liberating.
Chapter 2 is about reinvention or perhaps more accurately, a rekindling of my desire to follow personal interests which are creative in nature. In doing so I am able to feed that side of me which has been dormant for many years. My creativity had been pushed aside for practical reasons however at a certain point, you have to "just do it". It may be cliche but true - there is no better time than now to take the leap of faith and dive in.
2015 will be a trans formative year-I envision retirement from "my real job" in the not to distant future. I have a list of classes I am excited to take. I will continue to work hard on developing and growing my portfolio. I will find "my people" those artists which share the same interests and have had success in the areas I wish to pursue. I will allow myself the opportunity to fail and will learn from those lessons as I venture along this journey.
The words below perfectly sum up my feelings towards how I wish to approach the new year and hope you will find some inspiration in the message and will yourself take steps that will move you closer to your dreams. Happy New Year!
