(BOSTON; September 11, 2019)—The Godfrey Hotel Boston (505 Washington Street), the boutique lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Boston’s Downtown Crossing neighborhood, kicks off their Holiday Pop-Up Series on November 16, 2019 in the hotel’s bustling but cozy lobby. Throughout the months of November and December, the hotel will be hosting pop-up shops every Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. offering guests and locals in Downtown Crossing’s shopping and lifestyle hub a selection of products from Boston-born companies. Designed to help Godfrey's guests and Boston natives discover thoughtful gifts uniquely made in New England, the pop-ups will feature an assortment of locally made and beloved items ranging from luxury handmade knits to cocktail kits and specialty baked dog treats for furry friends.

“The Godfrey has always been inspired by the creative spirit of this city,” says Paul Sauceda, director of sales and marketing of The Godfrey Hotel Boston. “Inviting some of our favorite local businesses into our lobby this holiday season is the perfect way to give busy visitors the chance to tick off some of their shopping to-dos, while scoping out some of the best Boston has to offer.”

Boston-beloved Polka Dog Bakery – a gourmet dog treat bakery with locations in the South End, Jamaica Plain, Chestnut Hill, Lynnfield, and North End – returns to The Godfrey Boston with their gourmet treats and charitable initiatives. In addition to their popular edible goodies, PolkaDog offers sustainably-made, vegan collars and leashes, and holiday toys made by an assortment of businesses that donate proceeds to local animal shelters.

Shoppers can pair these sustainably made items with 9000Things eco-friendly prints and paper accessories, including location-specific skyline and outline art pieces for New Englanders, Midwesterners, and more. Those looking for more East Coast specific pieces in a unique art form will be able to peruse Rusty and Ingrid Creative Company for fine art screen prints. Basic Batch Donuts Founder and Bar Mezzana Pastry Chef Christina Larson will be offering special holiday donut gift packs in a variety of flavors and designs. Shoppers will be able to choose from an extensive range of apparel and accessories from Sarah Bertochi, who offers custom-made tote bags and purses; Third Piece’s hand-made knitwear including handbags, cardigans, and more; Crush Boutique’s uniquely curated brand-exlusives jewelry, apparel, and gifts; and Sheperd’s Run Jewelry, made from scratch by jeweler and owner Rebecca Scott. Closing out this year’s lineup of vendors, Bedlam Street offers mongrammed goods including custom orders for home décor pieces, gifts for kids and babies, and more. Holiday gift-wrapping and packaging will be provided by select vendors.

The hotel’s pop-up area is ideally located near the lobby entryway, just inside pedestrian-facing windows that look out onto Downtown Crossing’s bustling streets. Via the open connection to the hotel’s very own George Howell Coffee Shop, café visitors will also have a chance to peruse the weekly display of gifts and goodies. For those looking to wind down from the holiday stress, the Lobby Bar across from the pop-up opens daily at 4:00 p.m. and features seaonal fall/winter cocktails.
